After making its debut 20 years, MTV Cribs is heading back to television screens with MTV Cribs: Footballers Stay Home. The show will focus on Premier League players taking viewers on a tour of their homes during the lockdown in the global pandemic.
Players who will participate in the four-episode series are Manchester United Jesse Lingard, Arsenal’s David Luiz, Brazil midfielder Andreas Pereira and FIFA 2017 Female Player of the Year Lieke Martens.
Much like many productions in quarantine, the players will be their own camera operators as they film the behind-the-scenes footage of their daily lives in the new normal.
MTV Cribs has gone through a few different structures in the last few years in order to remain relevant to MTV’s changing landscape with original content. The once-popular show found its home on Snapchat Discover the last couple of years.
MTV Cribs: Footballers Stay Home will premiere on MTV June 1.
