If you’re in Tokyo, or ever thought about visiting, there’s one spot that you may want to check out. Nike opened a Nike-themed playground in Tokyo, featuring some of the company’s most well-known styles.
The ‘Tokyo Sport Playground Sport x Art’ campus has grounds for a track, a basketball court and a skate park while incorporating a multi-colored environment.
The playground is open to the public and one of few sports playgrounds available in the city. Nike’s presence is seen throughout the park with the iconic swoosh logo stamped around the grounds, as well as the different inspirations from the brand’s most popular styles through the decades.
The Cortez track is named after Nike’s Cortez sneaker, which is experiencing a soar in popularity in the last few years. From the big screen with Forrest Gump running across the country to rapper Kendrick Lamar releasing his own version of the Cortez, it’s only fitting that it’d be incorporated into this state-of-the-art playground.
