Nike is taking the charitable route with the Yakar Project for an upcoming jersey and documentary release that aims to better lives in Senegal.
The retail giant has tackled social justice efforts in the last couple of years and is starting out 2021 strong with the Yakar Project. The organization made its first Instagram post less than two weeks ago, but was able to secure a Nike collaboration for a limited edition Nike jersey and a documentary.
The jersey has a simplistic color scheme white, black and teal, but takes an interesting approach with double stacked logos for Nike and Yakar.
Part of the Yakar Project’s mission is to provide an improved daily life for children at the ADE school in Senegal. Proceeds from the jersey sales will go toward the cause. The documentary about the Yakar Project and its jersey will be released Feb. 15 through prodirectsoccer.com.
