The most iconic sneaker of Kobe Bryant’s signature line with Nike is, hands down, the Kobe Protro 6. That particular model has seen some of Bryant’s most precious career moments become materialized. The Kobe 6 Protro ‘All-Star’ 2021 iteration does just that as the next installment to the established collection.
Los Angeles was the home to the 2011 NBA All-Star game where Bryant represented the Los Angeles Lakers as a starter for the West and dropped 37 points, the most of any player in the game. On his way to yet another All-Star MVP award, Bryant doned the red and black snakeskin Protro.
The sneaker starts with a black heel that transitions into the red scaly texture. It was the perfect combination to the 2011 All-Star uniforms where the West wore a red uniform. Bryant’s signature adorns the heel, per usual as goes the collection, with gray ink to stand out against the black coloring.
Inside the sneakers soles serve an ode to the All-Star weekend with red splatter and the location, year and team in white font.
The release for the Kobe 6 Protro All-Star 2021 sneaker is slated for March 8 through the Nike SNKRS app.
