History makes its return in the new ‘Community Kit’ for the upcoming 2021 season for the LA Galaxy.
The new kit strays away from the Galaxy’s traditional white, navy blue and gold colors and goes for club’s old Rose Bowl days where emerald green was the mainstay. The new black and green vertical stripes were debuted via the club’s official Instagram with Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez, Jonathan Dos Santos and Sebastian Lletget modeling the new shirt.
The ‘Community Kit’ has a strong 90’s influence — seemingly from the club’s Rose Bowl days — that will certainly resonate with the growing popularity of that particular decade. This time around, however, adidas made adjustments to the previous iteration that was designed by Nike.
While uniforms were notoriously baggy back in those days, the adidas version is considerably slimmer, and the colors appear to be a darker shade.
The LA Galaxy Community Kit is available now, just in time for the MLS is Back – Opening Weekend on April 3.
