Washington Mystics guard Natasha Cloud, who resigned from the 2020 season to fight for social justice, now receives from Converse the All-Star BB Evo “Petal to the Metal”, first PE with a WNBA player.
These shoes have a color combination inspired by Cloud’s tattoo of the Rose, a symbol that appears laterally on each heel. The combination of Pink Foam, Chambray Blue, and Spring Green, is based on the idea that the community must come together to inspire new beginnings. “Petal to the Metal” features a 5/8 cut on the top, adding a fused mesh, dressed in an abstract green, blue, yellow, and pink pattern, backed by white synthetic overlays.
To the graphic already mentioned on the side of the heel, the “Converse” logo is added, both in pink. On the outer side of the shoe is added the Converse Chevron logo embroidered in black.
Finally, the white midsole and outsole feature built-in React Nike foam technology and patented Converse foam, which provides better cushioning. The Converse All-Star BB Evo “Petal to the Metal” PE are now available in the brand’s online store, for a cost of $120 USD.
