This is the New Nike Mercurial and Renovated Pitch for CR7 Record
Cristiano Ronaldo’s two goals for Portugal in the qualifying rounds to Qatar gave him more than just victory: a renovated pitch and the new Nike Mercurial.
This is a Guinness record set by CR7, reaching the amount of 111 goals scored with his national team, the highest amount in history.
As soon as the match against Ireland was over and the incredible figure was confirmed, Nike celebrated by inaugurating a renovated soccer field at the Quinta Falcão community center in Madeira, the place of Ronaldo’s childhood.
The field includes a painted goal that has special meaning for CR7: his commitment to setting personal goals on his way to becoming one of the best footballers in the world.
The picturesque court was designed by the Portuguese artist AkaCorleone; this includes goals whose crossbars mark a timeline, illustrating Ronaldo’s career, in 15 key scenes in the history of the Lusitanian Star.
With this renewal, Cristiano Ronaldo seeks to encourage a new generation of footballers to see the field as proof that setting goals is as important a part of his success, as is his talent.
The new Nike Mercurial CR110
With the arrival of the Record, has been also officially presented the new Nike Mercurial CR110 boots, in honor of the number that beat the Guinness.
As a special detail, this shoe is awarded to 110 rising stars, in the main countries that saw Ronaldo play: Portugal, England, Spain and Italy.
The shattered multi-color print is a record-breaking visual exploration.
The stitching on the heel tape is inspired by the national flag of Portugal; this is highlighted by a deep burgundy color on the side, as well as the gold details and speckled laces.
For its part, the reed has a graphic interpretation of the date and minute of CR7’s first goal with Portugal: June 6, 2004 at minute 90 +3 added.
