Sustainability Workshop by Nike

A Great Sustainability Workshop by Nike and Tottenham Hotspur

A sustainable game. Tottenham Hotspur hosted a sustainability workshop by Nike for young people in the North of London.

It is not unusual for the Premier League team to venture in environment-related activities. That’s why they were named the Premier League’s greenest team, according to the Sport Positive Summit backed by the United Nations and presented by BBC Sport earlier in 2021.

To keep up the good work in the community, Spurs and Nike joined efforts with Football For Future to host an educational workshop focused on the steps to take in order to make a difference in the fight against climate change.

Several North London students gathered to receive several talks about sustainability and the little actions each one of them can take to help the environment. After the Sustainability Workshop by Nike, the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation organized a football tournament on their new N17 Arena.

The games were played on a surface made by Nike Grind from 18,000+ recycled sneakers. The students also got to play and even take home a Nike Nature Ball, a ball made entirely from recycled materials.

Work’s not done yet with the Sustainability Workshop by Nike, and both the team and the brand will continue their efforts to make the world a better place.
