The New ZKF Orlando Pirates x adidas Collection Celebrating Heritage
Zodwa Khoza was manager of the OP, South Africa team, in the 1990s and passed away in 2006.
Her hard work for the community prevails through the Foundation that bears the same name, and which since 2011 seeks to create opportunities through sports, entrepreneurship and the development of skills for marginalized youth and women.
With the close relationship between the ZKF and the Orlando Pirates from the beginning, this collection could not be left out of it and with adidas involved.
The ZKF Orlando Pirates x adidas collection includes the Originals logo, last seen in South Africa in 1997, when “Zo” Khoza had the highest relevance of it and hence the ZFK brand is present in the designs.
This collection, in addition to the retro jersey, includes a complete tracksuit in black, as well as a t-shirt for fans.
For Bob Maphosa, sports PR and MKT manager for adidas Football in South Africa, the jersey is steeped in emotion and history as he wears them back to 1997, the year the OPs won the Bobsave Superbowl.
“This was an important milestone in our fans’ incredible journey with the team. Today, the nostalgia is real, but the best part is that together with OP we will be making a significant difference in the lives of our young people.”
The entire ZKF Orlando Pirates x adidas collection is now available for purchase in the Pirates Shop, prices per piece range from R699 ($ 48 USD) to R1,899 ($ 128 USD).
