The New Mahomes Read for 15 Cleats that Encourage Literacy
More than a game. NFL superstar Patrick Pat Mahomes presented his special Read for 15 cleats, which are part of a literacy campaign that the player has supported since his founding “15 and the Mahomies.”
Mahomes will wear the Read for 15 cleats in primetime when his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, face the Denver Broncos this Sunday night.
These cleats show a mostly white image, with a pattern of black clocks on the instep, which mark the 15-minute minimum reading required per day.
The shoelaces are also shown in black, while the special Read for 15 logo appears on the sides.
The midsole, sole and studs appear in the same way in black, generating studs with a simple image, but with a very important message.

Pat recently joined the city’s largest volunteer literacy program, Lead to Read KC. This organization organized a challenge, where it encourages children to read 15 minutes a day after school, for 15 weeks, giving great prizes along the way.
