It was just 20 years ago when Real Madrid, just like this weekend, was crowned champion of the Champions League. It was the final part of the first half, Bayer Leverkusen had tied the game at 1 in the first minutes; one of Roberto Carlos’ fewer brilliant centers was falling from a great height on the edge of the big area, when the world stopped.
Zinedine Zidane raised his left leg and, wearing the iconic adidas Predator Mania, hit the ball squarely to send it into the upper left corner and lead the team coached by Vicente del Bosque to the ninth European Cup.
To commemorate that iconic goal and that iconic boot, adidas has decided to revive the model, for an ultra-limited edition of 2002 pairs, keeping the soft sole plate, faithfully recreating the design, using premium K leather, with the iconic red tongue, as well such as the execution of curved rubber elements and the Three Stripes, which start from the sole and run through the side panels.
This reissue of the Predator Mania sold out immediately on the official adidas site, although we will have to wait if The Three Stripes change their minds and decide to increase production of this legendary sneaker.
